Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory, the infamous drug trafficker and money-laundering figure associated with the early careers of rappers Jeezy and T.I. through his label BMF Entertainment, has been released from prison.
Flenory was originally sentenced to 30 years in 2008 after being convicted on multiple counts of criminal conspiracy and money laundering tied to the Black Mafia Family crime syndicate. Following a series of reductions during his incarceration, his sentence was decreased from 360 months to 292 months.
On October 15, Flenory was released from a Florida prison but will continue to serve the remainder of his sentence in a halfway house. His projected release date from the halfway house is January 27, 2026. Following that, he will be subject to supervised release, marking a significant transition in his long and controversial history.
