An unnamed celebrity, identified as “John Doe,” has filed a civil extortion lawsuit against Texas attorney Tony Buzbee. The celebrity claims Buzbee, who represents over 100 of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ alleged abuse victims, threatened to file a lawsuit containing false and malicious allegations of sexual assault unless he paid a large sum of money. The lawsuit, filed on 18th November in Los Angeles, alleges that Buzbee made vile claims about the celebrity, including accusations of raping minors at parties hosted by Combs. Buzbee allegedly demanded a confidential mediation, warning that refusal would lead to severe legal and personal consequences.

Buzbee denied the accusations, stating that the lawsuit was a baseless attempt to intimidate him and his clients. He vowed not to be silenced, emphasising his commitment to supporting survivors of sexual abuse. The lawsuit marks the latest in a series of legal battles surrounding Combs, who is facing multiple abuse allegations, including a federal indictment for running a criminal operation tied to his sexual needs. Buzbee has filed numerous lawsuits on behalf of victims and threatened to expose those complicit in enabling Combs’ alleged actions.

The celebrity’s lawyers describe Buzbee’s actions as a “shakedown” and “extortion scheme” aimed at extracting money from anyone linked to Combs, regardless of the veracity of the claims. This case mirrors a similar legal situation involving Garth Brooks, where a “John Doe” filed an anonymous lawsuit to block false abuse allegations.
